Zaina Ashar

Zaina is currently pursuing her MBA at UCLA and is a recent addition to AWM.  She is a Human Resources Professional with five years of experience in General Management and HR.  In the past, she has also been involved with non-profit organizations including AmeriCorps, Headstart, and the India Womens’ Conference (AIDS Awareness Project).

Zaina loves to travel and has visited over 170 cities in the last 8 years.  In her time off, she enjoys dance, yoga and outdoor activities.

Open position : Co Membership Director

Responsible for membership drives, sending welcome email to new members and welcome packet via mail once information is received from National. Also responsible for recruiting committee members to assist with strategies for identifying, recruiting and retaining members, seeking out opportunities to promote membership at community events, ensuring the chapter has an orientation program for new members to become involved and a budget that reflects those priorities. Maintaining data on recruitment rates, membership renewals and reasons for non-renewal.
